When you are exploring dates, please refer to CBI's calendar to make sure there are no B'nai MItzvahs already scheduled for the dates you are considering.

We ask that each family become a member of Congregation B'nai Israel at the start of their child's B'nai Mitzvah process. This supports our staff in meeting the needs of your family throughout the process, and engages your family in the full breadth of CBI's community life.

If your family is not yet a member of CBI, you can become one easily by filling out our CBI Membership Form at a financial level that works for you.

Q: How do we choose a date for our B'nai Mitzvah?

A: Typically we celebrate B’nai Mitzvah after a young person turns thirteen. Some girls may choose to have their B’nai Mitzvah at the age of twelve. Feel free to discuss with our Executive Director or Rabbi about your choices and options. To get started, please rank your preferred dates for Shabbat morning dates below*:

*Please note that the following dates are unavailable: Shabbats that fall during all of July, the High Holy Days and the Shabbat following Yom Kippur, the last 2 weeks of December, Presidents Day weekend, and Thanksgiving Day weekend.
