Rabbi Yafa Chase Preparing Spiritually for the High Holidays
Wednesday, September 25, 2024 • 22 Elul 5784
7:00 PM - 8:30 PMZoomAre you living a life that you love guided by your values and your soul’s wisdom?
In Judaism, during the month of Elul, we are called upon to prepare for the High Holidays through a process called Cheshbon HaNefesh, an Accounting of the Soul. We are encouraged to do a personal inventory or self-assessment of the different aspects of our life and ascertain what areas we feel good about, where we are missing the mark and what we would like to change.
Rabbi Yafa Chase, a Spiritual Life Coach, will be leading a workshop to help us do our own inner work to personally prepare for the New Year. She will guide participants through self-assessment and intention setting exercises and share Jewish wisdom that can support us in creating a life that is guided by the wisdom of our tradition and our soul.
The workshop is co-sponsored by CBI and the JCA will be held on zoom on September 25 from 7:00pm to 8:15pm.
Virtual-Only Meeting, part of the High Holy Day Learning Series. (Zoom link can be found in the confirmation email after registration is completed below)

MayMay 4 , 2025Community Spring Work Party On Abundance Farm
Sunday, May 4th 9:30a to 12:00p
Lets gather to prepare our Farm together and create a more sustainable and resilient community for all. A wide variety of tasks are needed to get our space ready for the growing season, and there will be something to do for all ages. Activities will include weeding, clearing of brush, planting, mulch spreading, sign painting, kids activities, and more. So much more than just labor, it is a *party*. By coming together with music, food, and community, you take part in YOUR ecosystem, YOUR farm. Just as this land collectively belongs to you, you belong to it, and we are calling together everyone now to make their mark and nurture our Farm together. Its a celebration of earth, food, and each other not to be missed! We recommend arriving in sturdy clothes that you can get dirty, and coming equipped with any gloves and gardening tools you might own- there will be something for everyone though so most of all come as you are! -

Tuesday, May 13th 7:00p to 8:00p
For the past decade, Let My People Sing! has helped shape our regional song culture—infusing it with joy, depth, and collective power. Now, this beautiful project needs our collective care to keep growing, thriving, and nourishing future generations. Join us for an evening of music and mutual support on the farm. We’ll gather to sing, learn new melodies, and importantly—give generously to sustain this work that has sustained so many of us. Your presence and your contributions—of voice, spirit, and resources—will help ensure this project continues to grow and thrive for the next ten years and beyond. Come ready to sing, to connect, and to give in the spirit of community and abundance.
