Spiritual Life

Facade of CBI featuring Hebrew letters, with a rainbow in the background.

Together with our focus on kehila (community), chochmah (learning/wisdom), and tzedek (social justice), engagement with avodat lev (spiritual practice), is one of the core values of CBI. We strive to be a community where people are challenged, inspired, and supported to actively engage in personal and communal spiritual practices and to cultivate their interior lives.

CBI serves as a hub for both traditional and non-traditional points of connection to Jewish practice. We offer traditional shabbat and holiday services that follow the customs of the Conservative Movement, while also supporting a diversity of practices and rituals that are less common such as chanting and meditation. Abundance Farm, located at the center of our campus, serves as an inspiring outdoor space for services and rituals which emphasize the earth and creation.
