High Holy Days
From our musical family services to our traditional Sanctuary services, learning sessions, and more, there is something for everyone. The summer before the holiday starts we produce a Guide to the High Holy Days at CBI with schedules, checklists, and more. CBI holds services for Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Sh’mini Atzeret, and Simchat Torah. We hope you will join us to celebrate the new year.

Sukkot
CBI observes Sukkot with four days of services. During this time Kiddush is hosted in the Sukkah, which sits at the center of our campus. We host an annual Harvest festival on Abundance Farm, a campus-wide celebration that honors Sukkot’s themes of hospitality, harvest, and connection to the land.

Sh’mini Atzeret & Simchat Torah
The final chapter of the High Holidays these holidays are part services part celebration as the community gathers to sing, dance, and eat.

Chanukah
Each year CBI celebrates Chanukah with a community wide gathering. We come together for a night of music, sufganiyot (donuts), latkes (potato pancakes), and candle lighting. Fun for all ages! Check out our 2026 celebration featured on the front page of the Daily Hampshire Gazette.

Tu B’Shevat
At CBI we mark Tu B'Shvat (the Birth of the Trees) by exploring the environment around us. Programs have included guided tours of the trees on our campus, maple tapping demonstrations, tree rubbings, a pancake breakfast, and more.

Purim
Celebrate Purim CBI-style—a joyful explosion of costumes, music, fun, ritual, fanfare, food, and community! Each year we host programming for kids and families and for adults. Our Purim spiels, written and directed by Aram Rubenstein-Gillis are loud, funny, high-energy, and full of sing-alongs. Themes have included "A Very Wicked Purim" and "JPop Haman Hunterz."
