COVID-19 Protocols

This page has been updated as of 1/7/2022.

CBI, Gan Keshet, and Abundance Farm have taken a variety of precautions around the COVID-19 pandemic. While we work closely with a COVID-19 taskforce to guide us, the congregation's decisions are ultimately made by our leadership team. We recognize how vital offering in-person programming has been for our community and are committed to continuing offering in-person opportunities to gather.

  • We are currently asking that everyone wears a high-quality KN95 or N95 mask. If you do not have one of these, a surgical mask covered by a cotton mask is also permitted. We no longer allow regular cloth masks (unless there is a surgical mask underneath it). There are a couple of brands of reusable masks that the task force does recommend. These are Enro Masks and Happy Masks, which can be purchased online.
  • As of January 12, 2022, we will require that anybody age 5+ be fully vaccinated (and boosted, for those eligible) prior to visiting our campus. To make an appointment for your booster shot, visit You can upload your vaccination information at If you or anyone in your family is unable to be vaccinated for medical reasons, please be in touch with our Executive Director.
  • We ask that anyone participating in on-site programming to fill out a COVID symptom self-screening form at

In our most recent conversations, we have observed that while the risk to each of us individually may be lower and less severe than a year ago, local hospitals are now concerned about record-high rates of infection that continue to rise quickly, and the impact they could have on people in local hospitals and care facilities. We will be making decisions on a week-by-week basis as we learn more about the Omicron variant and what we need to do to meet the very real needs and responsibilities of our whole community. Please see our weekly emails for regular updates about services and programming.

As always, our Rabbi, leadership, and staff are here for you, and we are working to create new ways to support one another through this winter. If you need any support at all, please reach out to one of us.
