Friday night services include two parts. The first is Kabbalat Shabbat (lit. receiving or welcoming Shabbat) through psalms and a kabbalistic (Jewish mystical) prayer called Lecha Dodi. This service is meant to serve as a bridge between the hectic nature of the week and the peaceful arrival of Shabbat.

The second part is Ma’ariv, the evening service, which includes prayers acknowledging the arrival of nighttime, and core Jewish prayers such as the Shema and the Amidah, with special paragraphs about Shabbat

To attend dinner, registration is strictly required. No registration is needed for services.
