2022-23 ALMA Registration-Financial Aid

Join ALMA 2022-2023!

ALMA (“world” in Aramaic) is inspired Jewish education for youth and families. The 2022-2023 ALMA year begins on September 8th and concludes on May 25th. Our pre-K and K/1 classes meet on Shabbat (Saturday) mornings from 10:00-12:00 and our 2nd-7th graders meet on Shabbat mornings from 10:00-12:00 as well as Thursdays from 3:30-5:30. Learn more about our ALMA program.

NEW for teens! This year, we are very excited to be launching a new Jewish learning experience for teens (grades 8 and up). We will be sharing more information about this program in the coming weeks.

We intend to run ALMA in person this coming year. We will be doing everything we can to make it possible to meet safely in person and intend, when circumstances permit, to hold our program outside.

We continue to work closely with our COVID Task Force and will be prepared to make changes as needed. We will keep all ALMA families informed of any updates to our plans and COVID safety protocols with as much advance notice as possible.

Section D: Additional Information
Section E: Membership

While CBI family membership is not required to enroll in ALMA, we strongly encourage it!  We are trying to build a meaningful and authentic community within ALMA. We also aim to encourage the development of strong bridges between our ALMA families and the broader community at CBI and Abundance Farm. In a world where so many people feel isolated and long for deep connection, we offer a unique, inclusive, multi-generational community that offers a wide range of services, programs and opportunities for connection.

With this in mind, we approach participation in ALMA as more than a transactional or fee-for-service relationship. By joining CBI as members you are making a powerful statement of commitment to our Jewish community and helping to ensure that we continue to thrive for generations to come.

While our community depends on membership dues to operate, we also recognize that the cost of membership may serve as an obstacle to many people. We want to say in no uncertain terms that cost should never be a barrier to membership!  We really mean this. We offer a suggested sliding scale for membership based on income which is meant to serve as a guide rather than a rule. As CBI members, you also become eligible for reduced ALMA fees.

If you are interested in learning more about CBI membership, we would love to talk with you! If you click the box below, someone will be in touch with you shortly.

All ALMA families are invited to participate in PJ Library! A program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, PJ Library sends award winning, age-appropriate, FREE Jewish books to your home. Please check the box below if you do not want to be auto-enrolled to receive books from PJ Library. For more info on PJ books for ages 8 and under, check out pjlibrary.org and for PJ Our Way books for ages 9-12, check out pjourway.org.
Please note that in order to enroll your child, we will be sharing your name(s), your child(ren)'s name(s) and birthday(s), your contact information and mailing address with the PJ Library team
