Saturday, September 28, 8:00 – 9:30 pm at Temple Israel of Greenfield Sliches is a special evening service held by Ashkenazi* communities on the motzei Shabes/Saturday night before Rosh Hashanah to intensify our preparations for the holiday season and the time for reflecting on and doing tshuva/the act of returning to our essence. The sliches service invites us to begin thinking about how we might engage in conflict restoration with others whom we’ve hurt or been hurt by over the past year as well as how we might come to ask the Divine for forgiveness. “Slichot” means “forgiveness.” Led by the Upper Valley rabbis. In collaboration with Cong. B’nai Israel, Beit Ahavah and the Jewish Community of Amherst
