Bio
Rabbi Louis Polisson (he/him) most recently served as the Associate Rabbi and Music Director at Congregation Beth Sholom in Teaneck, New Jersey. He previously served for five years as the Rabbi of Congregation Or Atid in Wayland, Massachusetts. He earned his BA in Classical Studies from Brandeis University and received rabbinic ordination and an MA in Kabbalah and Ḥasidut from the Jewish Theological Seminary. A poet, musician, and composer, Rabbi Polisson was awarded a grant from the Hadar Institute to record an album of original Jewish and earth-based spiritual songs with his spouse, Gabriella Feingold (she/her). He is passionate about connecting people to Judaism, Jewish community, and the Divine, and his rabbinate centers on relationship-building. He is a Gladstein Fellow in Entrepreneurial Rabbinic Leadership, and an alum of Hadar’s ShaTz Fellowship for Prayer Leaders, the Pardes Mahloket Matters Fellowship exploring healthy disagreement and civil discourse, and Atra’s Rabbinic ReDesign Fellowship for innovative spiritual leaders in Northern NJ. He is a cultural Red Sox fan and an observant Celtics fan. He and Gabriella are the proud parents of 6-year-old Asher (he/him).
