Shabbat Morning Services
Saturdays
We offer traditional shabbat morning services that follow the customs of the Conservative Movement. Services run from 9:30 am to noon and are followed by a catered kiddush lunch that offers opportunities for community connection. Community members take active roles in helping to lead different parts of shabbat services and we are always looking for new people to get involved.

Kabbalat Shabbat
Fridays
Friday night services are songful, reflective, and offer a spiritually meaningful way to leave the week behind and enter into the holy time of Shabbat. About twice a month we host special “Shiru Shabbat” services on Friday nights (see below).

Shiru Shabbat
Fridays 1x a montH
Shiru Shabbat is a joyous, musical Kabbalat Shabbat service held at CBI and led by local musicians and prayer leaders, Molly Bajgot and Aram Rubenstein-Gillis. Shiru Shabbat is inspired by the circular davvening (prayer) style of Nava Tehila, a Jerusalem based renewal style prayer service, as well as other popular songful Shabbat services that have been growing throughout the country. This service includes contemporary melodies and the use of instruments to create a songful, heart-expanding Shabbat experience. Come to sing out, be washed in sound, and to connect with community at the end of the week.

Shabbat Shabloom
Occasional Saturdays
A musical service for young children (0-5) and their families. Come sing, dance, and celebrate Shabbat with songleader Aram Rubenstein-Gillis. Shabbat Shabloom is a great way to have fun with your child while connecting with other young families and building community. Occasional Saturdays at 10:20 am, check the calendar for a full schedule.

Ohel Minyan
Sunday–Friday
An independent Minyan that meets at CBI, the Ohel Minyan nurtures and sustain a halakhically traditional, egalitarian Jewish community. The Ohel Minyan community is built around a love of communal prayer and a desire to help one another through life stages, challenges, losses, and celebrations. All are welcome to join morning minyan Monday–Friday at 8:15 am and Sundays and federal holidays at 9 am.

Rosh Chodesh
Monthly
The Rosh Chodesh minyan meets at CBI for this celebratory service marking the new moon and the beginning of a new Hebrew month. Rosh Chodesh minyan begins at 8 am on weekdays, 9 am on Sundays, and is part of Shabbat morning services when Rosh Chodesh falls on Shabbat.

Wednesday Minyan
Wednesdays
Each Wednesday at 5:30pm we hold a short afternoon or evening service on Zoom. This service is congregant-led, and is a meaningful weekly space for prayer, for mourners to say Kaddish, and for community connection.
