CBI is here in times of joy and sorrow
Jewish community and ritual is available to support each stage of the lifecycle. From birth and naming, through b’nai mitzvah, weddings, and moments of transition, we walk together in times of joy, growth, and sorrow. Rooted in tradition and enriched by community, our lifecycle rituals help mark meaningful milestones and provide comfort, connection, and meaning.

Birth
Jewish babies are welcomed into the community through a brit milah or a baby naming ceremony. Please let us know if you would like a birth announcement shared with our community.

B’nai mitzvah
CBI joyfully welcomes community members to the bimah as they become B’nai Mitzvah. Typically celebrated at the age of 13, some adults (who did not have the opportunity at a younger age) choose to become b’nai mitzvah. As a community, we recognize and support this significant time in the spiritual growth of your family. Our B'nai Mitzvah team is here to support you through the process.

Marriage
Our rabbis are available to speak with you about officiation at a Jewish wedding, as well as how to build a Jewish home, and to celebrate milestones around the wedding such as an aufruf, a small celebration during Shabbat services in advance of a wedding.

End of Life
Many questions come up as people begin to prepare for the end of life, including funeral, burial, and both the logistical and spiritual questions that arise when facing the death of a loved one or one’s own death. The rabbis are available for end of life counseling, and will also support you and your loved ones through the various stages of mourning.
