Spiritual Life at CBI
Active engagement with avodat lev (spiritual practice, lit: “service of the heart”) is one of our community’s core commitments. We aim to be a community where individuals are challenged, inspired, and supported to actively engage in personal and communal spiritual practices and to cultivate their interior lives. Our approach is that the sacred can be encountered in every dimension of everyday life, and we aim to support individuals on their spiritual journeys.

Prayer and Practice
CBI serves as a hub for both traditional and non-traditional points of connection to Jewish spiritual practice. We offer traditional shabbat and festival services that follow the customs of the Conservative Movement, while also supporting a diversity of practices and rituals such as chanting, meditation, and alternative prayer spaces.
