Spiritual Life at CBI

Together with our focus on kehila (community), chochmah (learning/wisdom), and tzedek (social justice), engagement with avodat lev (spiritual practice), is one of the core values of CBI. We strive to be a community where people are challenged, inspired, and supported to actively engage in personal and communal spiritual practices and to cultivate their interior lives.

Services

CBI serves as a hub for both traditional and non-traditional points of connection to Jewish practice. We offer traditional shabbat and holiday services that follow the customs of the Conservative Movement, while also supporting a diversity of practices and rituals such as chanting and meditation.

Holidays

All are welcome to celebrate the rhythm of the Jewish calendar at CBI. From the High Holy Days to Chanukah, Tu B’Shevat, Purim, and beyond, CBI marks the holidays in special and inviting ways.

Life Cycles

Jewish community and ritual is available to support all parts of the lifecycle, from birth, to b’nai mitzvah, weddings, and beyond.

Conversion

Our rabbis are available to discuss conversion to Judaism with you—whether you are certain that this is your path, or just beginning to explore.
