Find your community
Community is at the heart of life at CBI. Whether you’re seeking meaningful learning, joyful social connection, opportunities to serve, or ways to give back, there are many paths to belonging here. We believe Jewish community should meet you where you are—and grow with you. If you don’t see the right fit, you’re invited to help create it by forming a havurah—a small, self-organized group centered around shared interests, life stages, or spiritual practice.

Adult Education
We offer a robust selection of classes from single sessions to multi-week to cohort-based programs. Topics cover history, religion, spirituality, culture, and more. No matter your interests or schedule, there's something for everyone. Explore offerings and find the perfect fit for your learning journey!
Havurah Initiative
The havurah initiative at CBI supports the development of homegrown, peer-led, Jewish micro-communities that foster deep interpersonal connection among members. This initiative supports opportunities to share Shabbat, learn together, share stories, explore interests, and incorporate Jewish ritual into our lives. Havurot are open to both CBI members and non-members.

Volunteer
For 120 years, CBI has run on volunteer support that allows us to strengthen our community and make an impact far beyond what staff alone can do. Whether you have been volunteering for decades, or are new to our community, your active engagement helps us build a vibrant and connected community.
