EJ Coolidge

Bio

EJ (they/them) is excited to be joining the teaching team at Gan Keshet this year as they settle into their new home in Western Mass. They are returning to New England after a decade in Minneapolis, where they have spent the last five years teaching in nature-based preschool settings. EJ appreciates any chance to tap into their own sense of awe, wonder, and play, and they feel lucky that these moments are a core part of their life at work and beyond. EJ loves getting to know each child's unique inner world and is constantly delighted by their ideas, questions, and explorations. EJ holds a BA in History from Macalester College and a Graduate Certificate in Early Childhood Education Pedagogy from the University of Colorado Denver. When not teaching, EJ enjoys going on adventures in the woods, making things with their hands, doing experiments in their garden and kitchen, and sharing the results with loved ones.
