Shavuot is a joyful holiday that comes seven weeks after Passover, marking the end of the Omer. Originally an agricultural festival celebrating the wheat harvest in the Land of Israel, it also commemorates the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai. Today, it is often observed with a special focus on learning—through study sessions and discussions.
At CBI we celebrate the revelation of Torah on Shavuot with learning and community. On the first evening, we gather for a Tikkun Leyl Shavuot—an evening of lively Torah study accompanied by cheesecake and sweet treats. A beloved highlight of the season is our annual “Shavuot Shabloom,” where we come together to celebrate and bless the babies born in our community over the past year. Morning services are held on both days of the holiday. Learn more and register below.
