Everyone is warmly welcome. Sunday, Oct 6th 5:00p to 6:30p
Your Democracy Action Team is excited to invite you to an evening of get-out-the-vote postcarding (in a swing state - stay tuned which one!): Sunday, October 6 5 pm - 6:30 pm (and maybe a potluck after? stay tuned on that piece!) Location TBD (depending our numbers) A small but mighty version of our crew had a successful trial run earlier this week when 6 of us got out 110 postcards in 1.5 hours. We saw what we could do; now let's do more with more of us! Let us know if you can make it by emailing Pamela at pschwartz77@gmail.com. What better way to start our new year than to be joined in the DOING (alongside the hand-wringing) to make a better world! -

Marking One Year Later: Community Mourning and Action with T'ruah As we mark one year since October 7, 2023, many of us are sitting with a plethora of emotions: grief over the lives destroyed by Hamas on October 7, fear for the hostages still held captive, anger and remorse at how the Israeli government has treated Palestinian lives as disposable, anxiety about what the future looks like, and more. T'ruah, the Rabbinic Call for Human Rights, has long been leading the way in holding space for us to feel the enormity of the grief coming out of Israel-Palestine from long before October 7, 2023. Join members of the CBI community as we tune into T'ruah's commemorative livestream together. They will share psalms and Torah, and hold a chance to be in community as we mourn the Israeli and Palestinian lives lost. For those who would like to attend this virtual ceremony but cannot join in person, you can find more information at this link https://truah.org/events/marking-one-year-community-space-for-prayer-and-mourning/ -
